Energy Technology

If knowledge is power, then what’s power knowledge? (If you said a career, we agree!) Our Energy Technology program will prepare you for a career as a plant operator or technician for a variety of power generation energy sources. The curriculum includes instruction in electrical theory and safety, mechanical and fluid power transmission, and power generation equipment and systems.

This will equip you to have career opportunities with employers such as coal and gas fired plants, biodiesel plants, solar and wind power generating facilities. Graduates may also be employed at water treatment facilities, wind farms, power technology facilities, co-generation power plants and many others.

This program provides students an hands-on education on the equipment and the principles of power.  Students learn the technical and safety aspects of plant operations, the responsibilities of plant operators, and the mechanical and chemical technology needed for working in related industrial operations.
