The Diesel Technology – On Road Truck program at State Tech prepares students to become highly skilled technicians ready to service, maintain, and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks. Students have access to manufacturer-specific online training certifications from International, Freightliner, Kenworth, toDetroit, PACCAR, and Cummins, along with safety certifications through SP2. Each student also obtains a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, giving them valuable real-world experience behind the wheel.
Graduates are prepared for high-demand roles in truck dealerships, fleet maintenance operations, construction companies, and independent repair facilities. Whether maintaining long-haul trucks or managing large service fleets, State Tech graduates keep America’s transportation industry moving.

Our Diesel Technology – Truck program provides you with the critical thinking skills and practical experience to work with semi trucks and heavy equipment that are shipping goods and shaping construction sites all over the country.
This program is designed to prepare skilled technicians to service diesel-powered medium and heavy-duty trucks, covering both mechanical and electronic systems. Graduates of this program are equipped for roles in trucking company service departments, independent garages, truck dealerships, and construction companies.
Students gain access to online training and certifications from leading brands like International, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Detroit, PACCAR, and Cummins, as well as safety certifications through SP2. Plus, students will earn their Class A Commercial Driver’s License for additional industry versatility.
Knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment electrical/electronic systems, hydraulic and hydrostatic systems, power trains, whole equipment diesel engine repair, and skills necessary to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment heating and air conditioning systems.
