Media Release

It is the policy of State Technical College of Missouri to have each attending student sign a Media Release form. The media release form allows the college to capture or record any image, voice, artwork, lab work, or written work of the student. These may be captured in film, photographs, digital media, online media, and any other form of electronic or print medium and may be edited at the college’s discretion. These may be used at the college’s discretion for informational, newsworthy, or commercial/promotional use.

Personally identifiable information (PII) will not be released as a result of the student’s acceptance of the media release form. Personally identifiable information is any information that can be used to trace an individual’s identity. The college may disclose information without prior consent if the information has been properly designated s “Directory Information”.

A photo or video is not considered PII if the image is incidental or captured as part of the background, or if a student is shown participating in school activities.

Any individual who wishes to remove their image from the college’s website, social media, or other platform should contact the marketing office.
