College Exams

Students who need to make-up college exams can schedule their exam online through RegisterBlast.

The Testing Center allows students the opportunity to schedule a time for testing in order to meet their schedule and academic needs. Click here to schedule your appointment.

If it is less than 24 hours from the date you want to take the exam, you will need to either call, email, or stop by the Testing Center to schedule or the date will not show up as a choice.

In some instances, we may already have exams ready in the Testing Center, so you can stop by anytime to take them without an appointment if we have availability.

While we will make every effort possible to get students in to test exactly when they need to, there are instances when the Testing Center is closed, so please do not wait until the last minute to take care of your make-up exams.

Everyone who comes to the Testing Center to take any type of exam MUST have a photo ID (student ID, current driver’s license, or military ID) in order to take a test.

Food and drinks are NOT allowed in the Testing Center, especially on or around the computers.

All cell phones and smartwatches MUST be turned off or placed on silent and either put inside a backpack or placed in our storage area.

Always enter the Testing Center quietly and be respectful of students who are in the middle of testing.  Voices should be at a whisper when talking to Test Center staff and should be off during their exam.

TSA’s/Program Certifications

All programs at State Tech are required to take a Technical Skills Assessment (TSA) or a Certification exam associated with their program, as part of their graduation requirement.  These exams will be scheduled at the beginning of the semesters by the instructors and students will be scheduled as a class for a specific day and time to test in the Testing Center.  **some TSA’s are given by the instructors in their class or are taken off-site: (ex: NCLEX for nursing)

TSA’s and Program Certifications given in the Testing Center are:  FAA, PearsonVUE, ASE, ASE 609, MACS, MACS 609, NOCTI, ESCO, ETA, AED, NIMS, EETC, NCCER, GCSAA, and Certiport.

Students can view the required exams for their programs by checking their Advising Worksheet on MyTech.  For any questions regarding testing, students can contact their Academic Advisors or the Testing Center.

Exit Testing

All State Tech students are required to complete exit testing to fulfill graduation requirements.

• Certificate students must take the WorkKeys exam in the Testing Center. This exam is administered on specific days and times for each program. The WorkKeys test includes three sections: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents, with 55 minutes allotted for each section.
• AAS degree students are required to pass the Civics exam, as mandated by the State of Missouri, with a minimum score of 70%. This exam is available on Canvas starting in the student’s first semester. Additionally, AAS degree students must complete the CBase exam, which covers English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The CBase exam will be available on Canvas during the student’s final semester before graduation.
