Residency classification provides an opportunity for students initially designated as nonresidents to obtain resident status for the purpose of tuition and fee assessment. Residency status is determined at the time of admission based on the information submitted in the application for admission. Students classified as non-residents who subsequently establish residency in Missouri may apply for classification.
Eligibility for Residency Classification
A student may be classified as a resident if any of the following conditions are met by the
student, their spouse, or their parent/guardian:

Applicants may also qualify under the following circumstances:
Students who do not meet any of the above criteria must establish residency in Missouri for at least 12 consecutive months, as well as the intent to remain in the state of Missouri, prior to seeking classification.
