Clubs & Organizations

Want to get involved while at State Tech? We offer 15 campus clubs and organizations as well as student government.

Our clubs and organizations are designed to get students involved in the industry they are interested in prior to joining the workforce. By furthering students’ knowledge, interaction, and communication skills, they will be prepared for the business world.

 

 

Esports

The purpose of Esports is to provide an environment for students who wish to play video games at all competitive levels for the enjoyment of all parties involved.

 

Intramural Activities

The Intramural Sports program at State Technical College of Missouri is structured to provide healthful exercise, promote leisure education, enrich social competence, and develop group loyalty for the entire college community. All eligible students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to participate fully in these programs.

Student Government Association (SGA)

A student led organization that represents the student body in all facets of college life and promotes a close relationship among the administration, faculty and student body for the general welfare of the college. SGA holds monthly meetings for students to voice their concerns, recommendations and learn about activities around campus. SGA helps decide what activities the college will host.

Associated General Contractors Student Chapter

The Associated General Contractors Student Chapter focuses on the construction industry.

 

Aviation Club

The Aviation club stimulates an interest in aviation and aviation history.

 

Computer Club

The Computer Club focuses on computer technology by exploring new technology and fostering ideas.

 

Dental Club

The purpose of Dental Club is to provide students with information necessary to make decisions regarding dental careers and placement. We foster a sense of community service and leadership and also to share experiences and knowledge among members to further the common goal of proper oral hygiene.

Home Builders Association Student Chapter

The Home Builders Association Student Chapter focuses on building strong students for the workforce.

Lambda Nu

The purpose of this Chapter is to foster academic scholarship at the highest academic levels, promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences and recognize exemplary scholarship.

Lighthouse Christian Fellowship

The purpose of the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship is to: Have a loving concern for the entire academic community and seek to lead those at State Technical College of Missouri to a personal relationship with God through Jesus. Provide a program which is thoroughly Christian and biblically grounded. Lead students to develop an intelligent and respectful understanding of the Christian faith. Develop a cooperative relationship with pastors and churches in the community.

LSR (Learning, Strength, & Respect) Club

The purpose of the club is to promote confidence, leadership qualities, healthy life choices and learning of the martial arts way.

Machine Tools Club

The Precision Machining Club provides opportunities for individual growth, leadership and career preparation.

Phi Beta Lambda

Phi Beta Lambda brings business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

 

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa promotes scholarship, development of leadership and the service and cultivation of fellowship among qualified students.

Physical Therapist Assistant

The PTA club encourages personal and professional enrichment through involvement in the college, the community, and the field of physical therapy.

Post Secondary Agricultural Student Organization

The PAS organization provides opportunities for individual growth, leadership, and career preparation.

Resident Government Association

This association prepares State Tech students to live and enjoy life along with providing a successful living environment that is safe and pleasant.

SkillsUSA Student Chapter

The SkillsUSA’s mission is to help its members become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible American citizens.

SNO (Student Nursing Organization) Club

The purpose of SNO Club is to endorse the members’ interest in nursing and professional nursing organizations. Allow the opportunity for exchange of ideas among students and between students and faculty of the nursing programs at State Technical College of Missouri. We are here to influence health care, nursing education and practice through legislative activities as appropriate. Lastly, promote and encourage students’ participation in planned interdisciplinary activities, raise funds for departmental functions, organizational social functions, and community service projects.

The Veterans Club supports and advocates for the future student veterans in higher education.
