Campus Signage

Campus Signage Policy

Purpose

To maintain a clean, professional, and consistent appearance across campus, protect College facilities, and ensure signage meets accessibility requirements.

Signage Approval and Oversight

Campus Facilities is responsible for specifying, approving, and installing all permanent interior and exterior signage, including donor recognition signs and displays. Any signage that contains a company or product name or logo must also be approved by External Relations and Marketing.

Posting and Temporary Signage

All campus announcements, flyers, posters, and other informational materials must be approved by Marketing before posting.

Approved materials may only be displayed on approved digital signage or on designated campus billboards, bulletin boards, tack strips, or freestanding sign holders.

Nothing may be posted, attached, or displayed on walls, doors, windows, or other surfaces in classrooms, labs, hallways, conference rooms, or common areas. This includes window clings, which are not permitted unless approved by Marketing.

No surface-damaging adhesives (such as scotch tape or duct tape) or surface-penetrating fasteners may be used to hang temporary displays of any kind.

Classrooms and Labs

Signage in classrooms and labs should be professional and suitable for academic space. Professionally framed or mounted instructional and reference materials may be displayed in classrooms and labs when installation is approved and coordinated through Campus Facilities.

Offices

Employees may hang appropriate items on the walls within their individual offices using only approved, non-damaging wall hooks or hanging methods. Nothing may be posted, attached, or displayed on office doors.
