By the Fall 2028 semester, all incoming students will receive State Tech laptops custom designed to meet the specific needs of programs that require laptops. Please visit https://statetechmo.edu/program-required-laptop-fee/ to check if the program you’re enrolled in is currently required to have a State Tech laptop. If the program you are enrolled in is not yet in this list, you are encouraged to bring a device with you to have while you complete your program. Most laptops come equipped with the basic performance requirements needed for accessing common course resources. Chromebooks and Mac devices are discouraged due to their limited compatibility.
