Most modern laptop computers, both Windows & Mac, come equipped off the shelf with the basic performance requirements needed for accessing common course resources at State Tech (with the exception of courses for Commercial Turf and Grounds, Civil Engineering, and Drafting and Design that require special software such as AutoDesk, which may require a computer with additional upgrades. The bookstore will have such laptops available for purchase. Students will sign a lease-to purchase-agreement, the cost of which will be built into student fees. Students’ financial aid benefits could pay for this laptop (please check with financial aid office to see if you have excess aid to assist). Students will have the option to purchase laptops for $1 upon graduation.). The use of Chromebooks is discouraged due to their limited compatibility.
