Cap and gown sizing information is collected through the graduation application.
Caps and gowns will be delivered to program chairs and instructors. They will be distributed in class.
Helpful tips:
The State Tech Marketing team will be taking photos all day during Commencement. Students will have individual photos taken when they receive their diploma on stage and immediately afterwards backstage.
These photos will be available on the Commencement webpage for free after Graduation, as our gift to you.
The State Tech Graduation ceremonies will be streamed on the State Tech Commencement webpage.
The State Tech Bookstore will be open on Graduation Day from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.! The Bookstore is located on the main floor of the Information Technology Center. Restrooms will be available in the Osage County Community Center for graduates and in the Activity Center for guests.

Elizabeth Gordon earned an associate's degree in radiologic technology at State Tech and is double board certified in radiography and computed tomography. She has spent the past three years working at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. During her time in college, Elizabeth tutored and served as Vice President of Lambda Nu, demonstrating leadership and a strong commitment to the field. She was also recognized with a Vice President’s Citation for completing over 10 volunteer hours. Continuing her passion for service, she currently volunteers with Happy Helpers for the Homeless in Baltimore, Maryland. Outside of her professional life, Elizabeth enjoys baking, reading, exploring new walking trails, and attempting to learn the French language. Originally from Jefferson City, she values the close-knit community of friends and family who have supported her throughout her professional journey. Elizabeth is honored to be part of this year’s commencement and looks forward to continuing to grow both personally and professionally in the years ahead.
Tyler Gosney earned an associate’s degree from State Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Science from the University of Missouri. He gained early experience through internships with the San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Kansas City Chiefs, as well as with the University of Missouri Athletic Department. He currently serves as the Assistant Head Turf Manager with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he is dedicated to excellence in field management. During his time in college, Tyler was actively involved in student organizations, including competing on the CTG PAS team, participating in Phi Theta Kappa, and contributing to the Mizzou Turf Club through fundraising, seminars, and national competitions. He has remained engaged in the profession through long-standing involvement in the NFL Field Managers Association, supporting mentorship and industry development. Outside of his professional life, Tyler enjoys golfing with friends and working on projects at home. He and his wife, Kelby, recently celebrated one year of marriage and are active members of their local church. Tyler is honored to serve as this year’s commencement speaker and looks forward to continuing to invest in the next generation of professionals.
