This program allows a student with little to no knowledge of the production environment to gain skills and abilities to be employable at a manufacturing facility in entry-level positions such as a materials handler, team assembler, or basic machine operator. This 100 hour course follows curriculum guidelines developed by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC). Upon successful completion students can progress to the Manufacturing Technician II course which covers the last two modules of the Certified Production Technician program (Manufacturing Processes and Production & Maintenance Awareness).
Completers will earn a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), OSHA-10 credential, and will have the opportunity to test on the first two modules of the MSSC Certified Production Technician (Safety and Quality Practices and Measurement). Completers that earn all certificates and pass the two MSSC modules will earn a MO Manufacturing Technician Program Certificate.
