Employees attending college credit courses, continuing education unit courses, seminars, or certification tests either as a part of their approved professional development or job-related requirement will be reimbursed for expenses incurred except for fees not course related or required. Employees will not be reimbursed for related expenses covered by financial aid of any kind. Employees must earn a passing grade of “C” or its equivalent as indicated on a college transcript or obtain a certification to receive any reimbursement. Expenses must be validated by detailed student account statements, receipts, a transcript for college courses, or a copy of a passing final grade card or certification for non-college courses.
Tuition, fees, and the cost of digital course materials will be waived for instructors who have been conditionally hired with the expectation of completing the requisite Baccalaureate degree (technical faculty) and are completing these courses at State Tech. If courses are not completed at State Tech, the instructor will complete them at their own expense.
