State Tech to hold annual Career Expo in person

Published on February 9, 2021

Numerous companies have registered for State Technical College of Missouri’s annual Career Expo. The event will take place on campus this Wednesday, February 10th, starting at 9am.

State Tech’s Career Expo is one of the best days of the year! Watching our students explore their career opportunities and get job offers, while hearing from our industry partners about how excited they are to hire them, truly makes us proud,” said State Tech Vice President of Advancement Shannon Grus.

State Tech is proud to announce a 99% job placement rate for students when they graduate, providing a positive impact to Missouri’s workforce development needs.

This year, even with COVID, we were able to bring 140 of our industry partners safely to campus to participate in the Career Expo! This event allows us to not only assist our students in their career placement goals, but also to help our industry partners meet their workforce needs for the future, said Grus.

State Tech also offers free lifetime career services to all alumni.  Alumni are encouraged to sign up for an account on HireEagles.  Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, this online system allows alumni to create and manage a personal account. Users can search jobs by major and receive notifications for new job opportunities.
