Student Complaint Policy

State Technical College of Missouri is committed to creating a safe, supportive learning and working environment for all members of the campus community. We take all reports of misconduct seriously to protect everyone’s health and well-being.

Procedure

State Tech depends on campus community members to identify and report behaviors of concern so the College can provide students and employees in need with appropriate support services and resources. If a member of the campus community witnesses something that does not appear to follow campus policy, a report can be made on the Ready to Report web page. This allows campus leaders to stay informed on any concerning behavior or students who may be in need of assistance.

State Technical College of Missouri utilizes an online reporting system (Maxient) to ensure a systematic complaint-tracking process to best serve the college community. This system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for anyone to notify the College of concerns. Ready to Report is the landing page for reporting any concerns and can be found at the footer of each website page or at the following link https://statetechmo.edu/campus-services/counseling-services/ready-to-report/. Here, constituents can inform the College of concerns, complaints, and compliments which are then routed to campus offices trained to address the concern.

State Tech takes all reports seriously and investigates each one to determine the appropriate action needed. The general process for addressing all reports is to create a case, reach out to the reporting person, investigate background and supporting documentation, reach out to other involved individuals, come to a resolution, and notify all parties of the outcome, while documenting each step along the way.
