Academic Integrity

Students are encouraged to assist each other and exchange information in order to master the concepts and skills covered in coursework and to seek tutoring from the Academic Resource Center if they need additional resources. However, collaboration on any individually graded assignment or exam to the extent that it is not an individual student’s total, personal effort will be considered a violation of academic integrity.

If a violation of academic integrity is identified by the instructor, sanctions may include a range of the following:

  • Grade of Zero on the paper, assignment, quiz, or test on which the violation occurred.
  • A second documented violation can result in a grade of “F” being assigned in the course.

If a pattern of behavior related to violations of academic integrity is identified, additional sanctions may be imposed according to the Student Code of Conduct up to and including separation from the College.
