ACCUPLACER TESTING RESOURCES

State Technical College of Missouri (State Tech) requires the ACCUPLACER or ACT assessment for acceptance into the college. In addition, these exams are used for program admittance and placement in English, math, and reading general education courses. Each program at State Tech requires students to place into a specific score range. Additional departmental testing may be required. Students are not required to test at State Tech and may submit official test results from other approved testing sites.

ACCUPLACER

The ACCUPLACER is a computerized multiple-choice exam used to determine skills in math, reading, and writing. ACCUPLACER uses the latest computer-adaptive technology, which means the questions you see are based on your skill level. Your response to each question determines the difficulty level of the next question, so it is important to give each question as much thought as you can before selecting your answer.
