Another Record Breaking Number of Students will Graduate from State Tech in 2025
Linn MO – State Technical College of Missouri will hold its commencement ceremony on Friday, May 16th for the 2025 graduating class. State Tech will hold three different ceremonies at 9am, noon and 3pm.
A record breaking 896 students will graduate from State Tech this year. The ceremony will be held at the State Tech Activity Center, making this celebration the largest in State Tech History.
This year’s commencement speaker is Tim Korman, General Manager and CEO of Macon Electric Cooperative.
Tim is a proud graduate of State Technical College of Missouri, then known as Linn Technical College, where he earned his Associate of Electronic Technology degree in 1990. During his time as a student, he was actively involved in campus life, serving on Student Council as Intramural Director.
After graduation, Tim began his career at Macon Electric Cooperative as an Equipment Repair and Operator. Through dedication and hands-on experience, he rose through the ranks—first as a Lineman, then Line Superintendent, Operations Manager, and ultimately to his current role as General Manager and CEO of Macon Electric Cooperative.
Tim has remained closely connected to State Tech, serving on the Electrical Distribution Systems Advisory Committee, where he continues to help shape the future of the industry.
Outside of work, Tim is deeply involved in his community, supporting local initiatives and mentoring young professionals. He and his wife Amy live in Macon, where they enjoy time with their two daughters, sons-in-law, and three granddaughters. A passionate outdoorsman, Tim especially enjoys hunting and spending time on his land—passing on traditions and values to his family.
Reporters are welcome to attend the event with numerous photo and video options available.
