LINN, Missouri – The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open for the 2024-2025 academic year. Completing the FAFSA is important for both prospective and current college students’ opportunities for grants, loans, work study and scholarships.

‌ “It’s important for all students to complete the FAFSA to ensure they’re being fully considered for all sources of federal, and state aid including the A+ scholarship,” said Dr. Chris Bowser, Vice President for Student Affairs at State Technical College of Missouri.

As the submission period begins, the 2024-2025 FAFSA is available periodically as part of a soft launch by the U.S. Department of Education. During this soft launch, the FAFSA form will be available for short periods of time over the coming days while Federal Student Aid monitors site performance. Users accessing the FAFSA website may experience short delays due to website traffic.

Current and prospective students should fill out the application as soon as possible. Students wanting to attend State Tech, as well as students who currently attend State Tech, should fill out the application by as soon as possible to maximize their financial aid opportunities. State Tech’s school code for the FAFSA is 004711.

“The latest version of the FAFSA is designed to provide students and families a more user-friendly experience,” said Bowser.

Students and families with questions about the 2024-2025 FAFSA can get help from the State Tech Financial Aid Office. Find more information be visiting the Financial Aid Office website.
