Physical Therapist Assistant Admission Requirements

To ensure you’re ready for our hands-on education and rigorous coursework, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements. If you don’t meet every requirement, you’re still encouraged to apply. Our admissions team reviews each application individually and can help determine your best next steps.

This program has a competitive selection process. Application deadline is December 5th.

Academic Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HiSET)
GPA: 3.0
Test Scores
This program only accepts ACT test scores.

•An ACT waiver is available for applicants with a college degree.
Program-Specific Requirements
•Attend an information session.
•Drug screening, background check, and vaccinations are required for clinical education.

2nd-Year Academic Requirements

To Progress to the 2nd-Year, the PTA student must:

  • Complete 20 volunteer or observation hours in two physical therapy settings, with at least 8 hours in one setting, within the past three years.
  • Achieve a minimum TEAS score of 60.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA completing all prerequisite courses with no grade lower than a “C”.
  • Achieve a “B” in each of the following courses: Human Anatomy and Physiology with Lab I and II and Advanced Musculoskeletal and Neurological Anatomy
