Commercial Turf & Grounds Management
The Commercial Turf & Grounds Management program at State Tech prepares students for rewarding careers maintaining and managing the outdoor spaces where people play, work, and gather. From golf courses and athletic fields to parks, campuses, and commercial grounds, students gain hands-on experience in turf science, landscape management, and equipment operation using state-of-the-art technology and industry-standard tools.
This program’s unique eight-week course structure allows students to complete their studies by early March, perfectly timed to meet industry demand as hiring ramps up for the growing season.
With strong partnerships across turf and grounds industries, students gain valuable internship experience and access to real-world projects that mirror professional conditions. Graduates are ready to step into supervisory and specialist roles in turf and landscape management, combining technical expertise with leadership skills that make them stand out to employers.
