Congratulations to Dwight Massey on his retirement and for 30 years of dedicated service to State Technical College of Missouri. Throughout his career, Dwight has served the College in numerous roles, including Heavy Equipment Technology Instructor, Department Chair, and, most recently, as Heavy Equipment Operations Mechanic. His depth of institutional knowledge, technical expertise, and willingness to step in wherever needed have made him an invaluable resource to students, faculty, staff, and the broader campus community.

Dwight is widely recognized for his extraordinary commitment to State Tech and its mission. While not formally part of the Admissions team, he has been a frequent presence at recruiting events and is regarded as one of the College’s most effective ambassadors. His ability to speak passionately and authentically about State Tech, combined with his deep understanding of its programs and history, has made a lasting impression on prospective students and their families. Whether supporting students directly, assisting colleagues, maintaining and staging equipment, welcoming visitors, or responding when help is needed on short notice, he has consistently gone above and beyond in service to the College.

His impact extends beyond campus through his leadership as Mayor of Linn, further reflecting his dedication to public service and community engagement. In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Dwight was named the recipient of the State Tech Champion Award in 2025. As he retires, the entire State Tech community extend sincere appreciation for his 30 years of service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to State Tech and its students.
