Linn, MO – State Technical College of Missouri celebrated a historic milestone this weekend as the institution officially surpassed 20,000 graduates, marking a major achievement during its Spring 2026 commencement ceremonies.
Over two days of ceremonies held Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15, 896 students graduated from State Tech programs, pushing the college beyond the 20,000 graduate mark since the institution’s founding. Ceremonies were held at the State Tech Klebba Activity Center and included graduates from health sciences, technical, skilled trades, transportation, engineering, and applied technology programs.
“This milestone represents far more than a number,” said Dr. Shawn Strong, President of State Tech. “It represents 20,000 individuals who chose a path of hands-on education and entered the workforce ready to succeed. Our graduates are making an impact in Missouri and across the nation, and we are proud to celebrate this incredible moment in State Tech history.”
State Tech, known as “The Employers’ Choice,” continues to lead the nation in workforce outcomes, maintaining a 99% job placement rate for graduates. The college’s emphasis on hands-on education and industry partnerships continues to prepare students for high-demand careers in Missouri and beyond.
